Our History
|
Terra Cotta began in the early 1980's as a restaurant, Romolo's Fine Dining. We were in what is now known as Little Italy, Endicott, New York. Many of the most loved original authentic Italian recipes are still available on our menus. Patrons requested outside catering and Romolo's Banquets & Catering was born. We continued to host extravagant indoor weddings, corporate events and social affairs in the years to come.
In the mid 90's an outdoor venue, Tipperary Hill was built near the Broome County Airport where we hosted beautiful outdoor weddings, clambakes, community fundraisers and festivals. The jewel of the venue was Clancy's Pub where local's would meet to share a beer and authentic Irish fare. We also owned Harvest Express in Endicott and Cousin Vinnie's Restaurant on State Street in Binghamton.
We attracted a high caliber of talent in our kitchen staff as the demand for our services grew. This in turn, expanded our offerings to included gourmet style, barbecue and more creative vegetarian dishes.
Terra Truffles, our signature homemade, hand-rolled chocolate truffles were born on Tipperary Hill. These decadent desserts are created in six original flavors and wrapped in colorful foils.
Terra Cotta Catering is flourishing with a truly unique banquet site–the Terra Cotta located in Stephen's Square on State Street. We are still primarily a mobile caterer, travelling to many unique venues, homes, offices and parks. We offer top-notch event planning from our office located in the 1888 Stephen's Square building in the heart of the city. |
